Earworm: Somebody that I Used to Know

I have always loved and hated that songs stuck in your head are called Earworms.  I mean gross!  Either way this song is amazing!  I know lots of others have posted it lately, but I was kinda freaked out by the freeze frame to watch.  You shouldnt be!  Now watch it... I know you will love like I do!

Ryan Reynolds is super hot.  Do I need to go on?  He can be a badass or funny.  Hot.  I had a really hard time picking out a picture of him.  I couldnt decide if I liked him better with or with out the beard...  I went with as Hannibal King cause I heart him so.  Vampire hunters are great.  No vampires for me, thanks!  

Fancy dress parties this weekend:  One and I am pretty excited.  Love that I get to wear my New Years Dress again.  There will be pictures this time I swear!  

Hours slept last night:  I feel like 3 real hours of spell.  I had to take two shots of rum to finally nod off, tonight I wasnt taking any chances and took two before even heading to bed!

017 & 018: Bump It DIY

Welcome to my very first DIY!  Super exciting.  Yesterday was our monthly bunco night.  We always have a fun theme, hats, pjs, horror movie bimbos and mine was dresses.  So we all show up dressed funny.  Last nights theme was poofs.  Nothing like 13 girls with Snookie hair.  I was extra tired after work and didnt want to tease and hairspray my hair, plus I would have to youtube how to make a poof.  I decided it would be easier to just try to make a bump it!  It turned out great. 

Before, hair is flat and unpoofed, whats a girl to do?

Items needed: 14 inches of fleece [better to use one that matches hair color, but this was a scrap I had], clip, bobby pins and brush.

 1)  Roll up fleece.

2)  Fleece will look like this.

3)  Use bobby pin to keep fleece bump it from unrolling.

4)  Pull 1 inch section of hair forward. 

5)  Place fleece bump it at base of sectioned off hair.  Secure with bobby pins.

6)  Pull hair over fleece bump it and secure with clip.

Now you are pretty hair,  even if my face isnt in this picture...  I would love to see your hair did, let me know if you try it!  Happy styling friends!  :)

016: Lunch and a Bracelet

My lunch was super tasty today, it doesnt look like it...  But it really was!  :)

Soup: roasted veggies [broccoli, potatoes, 3 kinds of beans, corn, carrots, onions, mushrooms], broth is Better than Bouillon and I added soaked shiitake mushrooms to make it meatier.  Before eating I added green onions and cilantro.  Toast is Dave's Killer Bread  Salad:  mix greens, red and orange pepper, mushrooms and cucumber.  Smoothie:  pear, greens, apple, cucumber, orange, and a carrot.  

My create of the day was a goal bracelet.  I made one a few months ago but it finally broke.  It is finger crocheted navy blue thread.  The point is that when I make it, I think of my goals/things to accomplish, in hope that when I look at it I will think of where I would like to be.  It kinda worked before.  I also thought about making one for every month I finished goals.  We will see...

Errands run after work:  0, too sleepy.  Tomorrow back to 5 hour energy and not just happy light!

Wanting to run away:  35%, a few days off will help there.  Is it Friday yet?

014: Snow and the End of an Awful Week, take 2

It has been snowing on and off the last two days.  I have no pictures cause I was at work or it wasnt sticking.  Have I told you how much I love snow?  Its so fresh and crisp and clean.  It makes the world a blank slate, like new beginnings.  Plus you get to stay home and be warm and snug with soup and tea.  Movies are more fun to watch and books better to read.  Cuddling is better when you are someone to share it with, which makes me very glad I have a cuddle bug of a cat.  I was also very glad to have had today off.  It had been a rough week.  It seems silly to go into the details.  Just lots of little bad things happened.  Nothing life altering, more obnoxiousness.  For the most part I am over it, not going to get bummed out, especially since it is going to get worse before it gets better.  I really dont want to whine about work too much here but...  My favorite person to work with is leaving on the 23rd.  I am really happy for her and very sad for me.  Life at the hotel is going to be so much different without her!  This being said she is also very good at her job and finding someone else to do half as well as she did will be difficult.  There will be a void for a while and I am not excited for the changes and trying to cope with training new people...  That is all I plan on saying about that.  [We will see if I can keep to that.]

I had been doing some creating!  Shocking!  Saturday I made two glow-in-the-dark centipede necklaces!  Sunday I made a glow-in-the-dark dragonfly and spider [for me].  I made them to give to friends at the bar on Sunday, but with the ice I stayed home.  I am a pussy about driving on ice!  I spun my car last year and it scared the crap out of me!

One of the centipedes and the dragonfly got tangled and tugged on too hard before taking these picures so I have to fix them.  Oops...

Number of stores visited on my "pj only" day off:  3, but I got great cat toys and cat nip for my baby.  She is now sleeping off a frenzy.  So totally worth it!
% of bathroom cleaned:  0, but I still have time!

Really this is just a space filler post.  Yesterday and today I did actually make things!  Bug necklaces!  I will take pictures tomorrow.  Now sleep.  

012: Love= RVs

When I grow up I want a RV.  We didnt camp when I was a kid, but my grandparents had a RV.  It had a sweet bunk above the cab.  I remember the ladder being covered in foam so it didnt hurt your feet climbing up and down.  Many good memories there.  I would love to road trip around the country as my honeymoon.  Not sure I am brave enough to go anywhere on my one, but I would like the option!

  I love the idea of T@Bs, but I like the idea of not leaving the vehicle, all contained.  T@Bs are more about camping, not living in them.

Its been a long week.  I havent been feeling awesome and there is drama at work.  I am trying to become less involved, do my job and go home.  I am not very good at it, I get invested.  I love the people, but love the job less and less.  Someday...  The not feeling hot has made me feel uncreative.  I did buy all the materials for more bug necklaces.  I even went to Harbor Freight and bought a new dermal and soldering iron!  Totally scared it... But I bought it so I have to be brave!

Polar Bear in a tutu acquired:  0, Build-A-Bear is closed for remodeling..
Nut Milk bag acquired:  one and it is awesome!
Cuddle time with Charlotte:  lots due to accidental naps...
Create:  Green Juice strained with nut milk bag, way easier than I thought it would be!  [totally create cop out, tomorrow is a new day!]

011: Sunday Night: Braids and Stars

It's been a few weeks since our Sunday nights were normal.  Holidays make people busy.  It was a lovely time and good to see friends, we also made a new one.  She was nice but chatty.  It is different experiences being sober at the bar.  I am a one drink wonder.  I have one drink and then I switch to soda water.  We play music on the jukebox and sometimes play pool, but I am not a fan...

I was in charge of the salad face.  He has red hair and a mustache.  Kinda proud.

This pic is what I am counting as my create.  My friend Rosie took the picture on a sweet camping trip over the summer using Hipstamatic.  I made it star like using Percolator.

010: Foot baths and Tiny Wine

It was a very long week.  Drama and randomness.  Unchangeable, but life goes on.  When I got home from work, very late, I dont change into my jammies and cuddle my cat [like the rest of the week, she seemed a wee bit sad about this...].instead I watched one and half episodes of How I Met Your Mother, ate way too much of my Chipotle Burrito and sat in front of my happy light.  I think this really helped me be able to leave my house agian!  I convinced my mom to go with me to Office Depot, for a fancy pen for my fancy new calender, I also needed eye drops and a cheap monthly calendar.  3 stores later, I found my recycled water bottle pens, eye drops, whole living magazine and other shinny things but no calendar.  Then I saw a foot bath.  It looked amazing.  I made a comment about how I am old and would love nothing more than to go home and soak my feet and drink a tiny wine!  My mother informed me that she had one!  So excited!  Come to find out, it is older than me.  I thought I was going to get electrocuted!  Not how I want to go.  Either way it worked out and I felt totally relaxed.  All Stars Project Runway helped too or maybe it was the wine?

009: 5 things

1. Had an overly productive trip to Whole Foods.  Bought a yummy pizza!  Also kale was on sale.  Two bundles for $3!
2. Lost a contact today...  In my eye!  For real, I put it in and then 20 mins later couldnt find it to remove it...  Called the eye doctor in a panic.  Receptionist chick took my number but never called me back.  Nothing makes me more angry then bad front desk people.  Do your job Ahole...
3. Tears are a great remover of eye makeup.  One of my coworkers got a new job and will be leaving me soon.  We are very happy and sad all at the same time.  Very bi-polar.  The next two days we are in charge of the office and I am sure little work will be done...
4. Taxidirmy polar bears in tutus cheer me up.  Well tutu is in general are a mood buster!
5. Last but not least, today is my daddy's birthday!  Happy birthday Pop!  You are my favorite Dad ever!  Love you much!  :)
